NickerStickers Decals are Easy to Apply!Whether you've never, ever applied a decal before or are an old pro, NickerStickers go on smooth and easy and stick very well. Before you start, WASH THE SURFACE!Don't Use Window Cleaner! We recommend you use plain old soap and water, 1/3 cup soap to 1 cup water. If there is any wax build up, use a scrubby. Finish with a lint free cloth to dry. You can add additional touch of extra cleaning with rubbing alcohol, mixed half and half with water. But soap and water is usually good enough.Step 1. Peel the transfer tape with the decal stuck to it away from the waxy backing paper. The adhesive side of your decal is now exposed. Be careful! Don't get it dirty and don't touch it with your fingers. Use the clear transfer tape to hold because you'll be taking that off later anyway.Step 2. Using the transfer tape, roll your decal on to the surface to which you are applying, starting at one corner and laying it down. Once it is on the surface, rub on top of the clear transfer tape and decal using a credit card and working from the center out. Press lightly at first, then repeat more firmly. Repeat several times. Step 3. REMOVE THE TRANSFER TAPE. The decal is under the transfer tape. Pull the transfer tape up at a sharp angle beginning at one corner. Remove the clear tape on top of the decal and throw it away. Your decal should easily stick to the surface while you are pulling up the transfer tape. If it's not sticking solid, try leaving it on overnight and taking it off the next day.For more information on decal application, including applying large decals, video instruction, and trouble shooting, click here: The American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) is a medium-sized, solidly built, short haired dog whose early ancestors came from England and Ireland. It is a member of the molosser breed group. The American Staffordshire Terrier and The American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) by breed are from the same lineage; Staffordshire was the name given by AKC (American Kennel Club), and American Pit Bull Terriers by UKC (United Kennel Club). Although both dogs are similar in size, of the two, the APBT is the larger dog. The Pit Bull Terrier was created by breeding Old English Terriers and Old English Bulldogs together to produce a dog that combined the gameness of the terrier with the strength and athleticism of the bulldog. These dogs were bred in England, and arrived in the United States where they became the direct ancestors of the American Pit Bull Terrier. In the United Kingdom pit bulls were used in bloodsports such as bull baiting, bear baiting and cock fighting. These bloodsports were officially eliminated in 1835 as Britain began to introduce animal welfare laws. Since dogfights were cheaper to organise and far easier to conceal from the law than bull or bear baits, bloodsport proponents turned to pitting their dogs against each other instead. Dog fighting was used as both a bloodsport (often involving gambling) and a way to continue to test the quality of their stock. For decades afterwards, dog fighting clandestinely took place in small areas of Britain and America. In the early 20th century pitbulls were used as catch dogs in America for semi-wild cattle and hogs, to hunt, and drive livestock, and as family companions. The essential characteristics of the American Pit Bull Terrier are strength, confidence, and zest for life. This breed is eager to please and brimming over with enthusiasm. APBTs make excellent family companions and have always been noted for their love of children. Because most APBTs exhibit some level of dog aggression and because of its powerful physique, the APBT requires an owner who will carefully socialize and obedience train the dog. Being intelligent, athletic dogs, American Pit Bull Terriers excel in many dog sports, including weight pulling, dog agility, flyball, lure coursing, and advanced obedience competition. Out of the 36 dogs who have earned UKC "superdog" status (by gaining championship titles in conformation, obedience, agility, and weightpull), 23 have been American Pit Bull Terriers, and another 13 were American Staffordshire Terriers. They APBT is not a very good choice as a guard dog because of their natural friendliness. They must be trained to be aggressive toward humans. Pit Bull Terriers successfully fill the role of companion dogs, and police dogs, and therapy dog. Unfortunately, Pit Bull Terriers are a favorite breed among people who engage in illegal activities and so law enforcement organisations report these dogs have been trained to guard illegal narcotics operations and to attack police. The APBT constitutes the majority of dogs used for illegal dog fighting in America. Unfortunately, breed specific legislation has been introduced and resulted in bans of the APBT in many counties and cities in the United States. Even entire countries overseas have outright banned ownership of the American Pit Bull Terrier. American Pit Bull Terriers are also on a list of four breeds that are banned in the UK, despite their status as "superdog" with the UKC. Supporters of the Pit Bull type dogs are quick to point out that BSL is wrong because it is the the owner, not the breed, that creates aggression toward people and lack of training and socialization that leads to dog aggression. While supporters of BSL point out the APBT's natural dog aggression requires a dedication many owners fail to take into account in proper training and the breed has favor with criminals who take advantage of its powerful athleticism and big bite. We here at NickerStickers are in the business of showing the American Pit Bull Terrier in its best light. You will not see aggressive poses with our designs. Our Pit Bull decals will always show the breed's athletic, good nature. When you buy a NickerStickers Pit Bull decal and put it on your car, you can be sure you are promoting the best of the breed.
